A sad day for jarble media.
After working with support for a few weeks it has been determined that they can not resolve the usb issues with the server and recommended that I RMA the unit with the reseller. So with heavy heart I started the RMA process with the seller. On the positive side I should get a full refund but I would rather have a working server at this point than a refund. I was so excited for the prospect of building a watercooled server and the possibilities that would have brought. As it is though I have to figure out how to get the server out of the rack and down to be picked up by the carrier and I am not looking forward to the thought of lugging this beast down four flights of stairs.
